Days of Hot Weather in San Diego
Despite its southern location, San Diego rarely gets hot. Temperatures over 100 °F (38 °C) have appeared on average just once a decade. Indeed, the city typically has only three days a year when the thermometer reaches 90 degrees (32 °C).
Yet warm weather is a year round occurrence in San Diego. A day of 80 degrees can happen in any month of the year, although it's rare in December.
San Diego's nights are equally mild with an average of just eight nights a year when the thermometer stays above 70 degrees.

How Often San Diego Has Cold Temperatures
San Diego normally does not have cold weather. Every day in a typical year warms to at least 50 °F (10 °C).
The city averages just one night a year when the thermometer dips as low as 40 °F (4 °C). But San Diego never gets cold enough to freeze.
