McCall Snowfall Totals & Accumulation Averages
This page pulls together information on when, how much and how often McCall, Idaho has snow.
There are data and descriptions here of how many days it snows and the total amount of snowfall that McCall usually gets. These averages don't show how much the snowfall in McCall varies from year to year.
In December, for instance, one in four years totals 40.8 inches or more of snow. Another 25 percent of years receive 22.5 inches at most for the month.
Similarly in January, fresh snowfall in the heaviest years amounts to at least 41.5 inches, while the lightest years get no more than 25 inches.
New snow for February ranges from over 29.5 inches in heavy snowfall years to 13 inches or less in light years.
When McCall Has Its First & Last Snowfalls
The first snowfall of winter for McCall usually arrives in November. Every few years, October also gets some snow.
The season's last snowfall most often happens in April. In one out of four years, it doesn't stop snowing until May. Sometimes a light dusting of snow shows up as late as June.
McCall is normally free of snow every year from July to September.
How Many Snowstorms McCall Gets
Most days of snowfall in McCall leave at least an inch of fresh snow on the ground. For 19 days a year on average, the amount of new snow totals three inches or more.
Snowstorms of over five inches a day normally occur six or seven times annually. But major blizzards that dump ten inches or more in one day are rare events that don't happen every year.

How Much Snow Normally Accumulates in McCall
Throughout most of winter, McCall has at least ten inches of snow on the ground.
