Average Precipitation for the Netherlands in January

The tables below give monthly averages for rainfall plus snowfall during January at cities and other places in the Netherlands.

Each location has a total for the normal amount of precipitation it usually gets this month. Many places also have a count of the number of days with wet weather. The calculation of days only includes those when precipitation amounted to at least 0.1 millimetres (0.004 inches).

The month's total precipitation is an average of weather data collected during 1991 to 2020.

You can jump to a separate table for each region of the country: North Netherlands, East Netherlands, West Netherlands and South Netherlands.

North Netherlands covers the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. East Netherlands includes Overijssel, Gelderland and Flevoland. West Netherlands provinces are Utrecht, North Holland, South Holland and Zeeland. South Netherlands has North Brabant and Limburg provinces.
