Caribbean Weather in June

Information on the weather in June for cities and beach towns throughout the Caribbean has been pulled together here.

The June temperatures and rainfall given in the table below allow you to compare the climate for places on two dozen islands. The monthly averages are based on historical weather records.

These temperatures are in degrees Celsius. You can also view the temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit.

Temperature

Temperatures during summer generally stabilize in the low-30s degrees Celsius during the day and mid-20s °C at night near island coasts throughout the Caribbean. The ocean air keeps June temperatures from getting really hot.

The Caribbean Sea temperature averages 27 to 28 degrees Celsius in June.

Rain

Rainfall patterns fluctuate all over the Caribbean landscape in June. The rainiest weather is in the north. This is normally the year's wettest month for Havana, Cuba. There's also a burst of rainfall in Nassau, Bahamas, placing it among the rainiest cities of the region.

The least amount of rainfall this month is on the southern Netherlands Antilles islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, where the dry season still lingers.

Hurricanes

Although the hurricane season officially starts in June, hurricanes are rare and major hurricanes are not at all expected this month. Any hurricanes that do form, stay out in the Atlantic Ocean, away from land. So the chance of a hurricane coming close to an island in the Caribbean is practically zero.
