Average Precipitation for Ireland in March

The tables below give monthly averages for rainfall plus snowfall during March at cities and other locations around Ireland.

Each place has a total for how many days of wet weather it usually gets this month and for the normal amount of precipitation.

The calculation of days only includes the days when precipitation totalled at least 0.2 millimetres (0.008 inches). For Donegal and Galway, the total days includes any with at least 0.1 mm (0.004 inches) of precipitation.

The month's total amounts of rain and snow given here are averages of weather data collected during 1981 to 2010.

You can jump to a separate table for each region of the country: Ulster, Munster, Leinster and Connacht. Ulster province includes the counties that border Northern Ireland. Munster province covers the southern part of Ireland. Leinster province is in the east, while Connacht (or Connaught) is in the west.
